Summery about the Facility

SAF industries ltd. is 100 percent export oriented finished and crust leather Industries. It is situated Taltoa, Noapara, Abhaynagar, Jashore, Bangladesh within Latitude 23˚01’0088’N, and Longitude 89˚24’39.60”E area about 30591.42 m² occupied by the project. It stands on the bank of the river Bhairav. Bhairav river and Banglacat Disel power plant are at the East site of the facility, Jashore to Khulna highway and Akij City are at the West site of the Facility, Sarkar Trading ( Stone and Coal ) and Polli Biddut are at the South of the Facility as well as Nurul Amin Ghat and Thana Police Station are at the North of the facility . We have the production capacity of 13,00,000 ft² or 12077.39 m² monthly. At present it is It required 1040m³ water daily which we get from deep tube well. We use daily average 1600 liter furnace oil in our boiler. For power requirement we need 873KVA. Our tannery generates various waste. The main air emission is generated by our spray machine. We use 28m3 water as domestic washing. Our factory generated about 700m³ waste water which we treatment by ETP. Our Bio chemical ETP area is about 27000ft² or 2508.38 m² and capacity is 800m³/day. Beside we recover 85% Chrome by our Chrome Recovery Plant which capable to recover 380kg/cycle Capacity of 65 m³/day..

In Bangladesh Tannery work begun in 1940.SAF Industries ltd. founded 1960. In 1965 wet blue and chrome tanned leather manufacturing started by (SAF) Scotish and Family-England ownership. In 1980 Crust production started. In 1990 we move into finished leather and products. We have 400 (Male-275+Female-125)  employees  according  to  our  DIFE  certificate  .  Our  Tannery  operate 290days/ year.

For environmental issue we set up ETP( outlet water quality checking lab), Chrome Recovery, water softening ,Fire safety plan, Power to unused equipments shut at distribution panel, All water taps shut down when not use, Surface and ground water quality checking , Emergency response (first Aid,PPE) equipments, Preventive maintenances, Safety eye wash shower, Safety Guard  for  Drum,  Desalting  M/C,  Garbage  collection,  Cleaning  and  washing,  Signage  plan, Marking, Green Board, Siren, Ventilation, Lightening, Sanitary, Tree plantation, Covid 19 awarness.etc.
